New Rules to be implemented for the 2014 TWHNC -- Take the Poll!
For the upcoming celebration, they have now made it mandatory that horses must be on the TWHNC showgrounds at least 48 hours prior to championships.
There has a been a lot of opposition towards this new rule for a number of reasons--one being the overall cost of showing one's horse will increase. The Celebration is, personally, my favorite time of the year and there is nothing that even comes close to it! However, it is also a major expense. Some believe this new rule may cause some not show, or at least, not show as many times during the Celebration. In addition, some horse owners, whose trainers live in or around Shelbyville, keep their horses at their barn. When they have a barn close by, some do not want to pay more to keep them on the showgrounds. However, others argue that it will be beneficial for our breed.
